Biography

Art can imitate reality, but is more often a product of it; this paradoxically, appears truer in photography

After a brief experience in the world of filmaking, Giovanni Ricci-Novara moved towards commercial photography and fashion to which he dedicated a large part of his professional career. His interests later led him towards photography of art, particularly masterpieces of classical Western and Middle Eastern art; these efforts allowed him to focus on his personal narration on the traces that man, in the course of time, has left behind.
