The year is 1953 and Fabio Aguzzi is born under the water sign of Pisces in a Milanese clinic. His father, Lino is a bank employee, his mother Assunta, a housewife. In Vidigulfo, situated in the Pavian countryside, Fabio plays with brushes and canvases and paints at an early age. His father, Lino is an art enthusiast and a painter by hobby. Fabio attends a Fine Arts High School and then the Academy in Brera. He studies sculpture under the tutelage of Alik Cavaliere and painting with Vincenzo Ferrari. He also works as an assistant to Annibale Biglione in his studio. In the 1960’s Fabio teaches and paints – he opens his first exhibitions, landscapes and portraits with a surrealist style. His studio in Vidigulfo is in an attic, an open space with white walls and ceilings where the easel is hidden by white drapes. |
