La Galleria d'Arte Contini a Venezia ospiterà dal 5 aprile al 24 novembre 2024 "The Time of Sculpture", una mostra dedicata al celebre scultore uruguayano Pablo Atchugarry in occasione del suo settantesimo compleanno. L'inaugurazione si terrà il 11 maggio in presenza dell'artista.

La mostra presenterà una selezione di oltre quaranta sculture, includendo sia opere iconiche che lavori inediti, insieme alla prima esposizione pubblica della collezione di gioielli progettata dall'artista. Questi gioielli, realizzati in oro, rappresentano una nuova forma d'arte che trasforma il concetto tradizionale di gioielleria.

Il percorso espositivo attraversa le sale della galleria, mostrando la varietà di forme dinamiche e ricchezza cromatica delle opere di Atchugarry, che includono marmi raffinati, pezzi in bronzo con patine colorate, opere in acciaio e sculture in legno realizzate appositamente per l'evento.

La Galleria d'Arte Contini ha collaborato con Atchugarry dal 2019, promuovendo il suo lavoro attraverso importanti mostre in diverse città italiane e all'estero. L'artista, che ha sperimentato diverse forme artistiche prima di concentrarsi sulla scultura, cerca di liberare le forme intrinseche nella materia, combinando lezioni rinascimentali con estetiche contemporanee e attingendo ispirazione dalla natura per creare opere caratterizzate dalla precisione tecnica e dall'espressività della luce.
